Career Lattice Level Benchmarks

Within each level of the Gateways Career Lattice, benchmarks have been written for each competency and matched to the expectation levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. These are descriptions of a practitioner’s performance that serve as a standard of comparison for evaluation or assessment of quality. 

Level 1 of the Gateways Career Lattice is designed for those entering the profession and can be earned with a 48-clock-hour, community-based, noncredit training. Benchmarks and outcomes were used in writing the materials that are now utilized in trainings offered through the Illinois Trainers Network (ITN).
