Illinois Director Credential
IDC Commission
The IDC Commission is a 15-member body consisting of early care and
education leaders, representatives of the Illinois State Board of
Education, higher education faculty, child and family advocates, CCR&R
agencies, and professionals in early care and education. Their primary focus is
to review and evaluate applications of individuals and institutions applying
for the IDC. They establish procedures for the credential, along with
evaluating effectiveness. They provide leadership, guidance and expertise to
directors all across the state.
