"To be a facilitator of young children's learning and a support
to their parents in this learning and nuturing process brings me great
satisfaction."

Andrea Anderson
Director
Learning Ladder Early Childhood Center

"I feel that the IDC is an excellent way to recognize as well as
give validity to the profession of Center Director. I feel a great sense of
pride to be in an elite group of directors."

Andrea was awarded the Level I Illinois Director Credential in February 2004.
She has been the Director of the Learning Ladder Early Childhood Center for 3
years.
After the birth of her son, Andrea began researching nuturing and the
development of infants and young children. She knew she wanted to embark on a
career in the field of Early Childhood Education after reading articles
regarding research in brain development and the learning capabilities of young
children. Her greatest satisfaction is derived from facilitating the mental
growth of young children and supporting their parents in this process.
Andrea's goal is to obtain the Level II and Level III Credentials as well as
becoming a director of an accredited child care program.
