Almost twenty years ago, Elaine began her career in Early Childhood Education as
a teacher for the local Head Start program. In 1999, she was named the Illinois
Head Start Teacher of the Year as well as the Head Start Region V Teacher of
the Year (for 6 states). She continued her education all through her career by
receiving a CDA, an AAS degree in Early Childhood Education and a BA degree in
Family Sciences. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Family Services.
She is now an Administrator for the Toyota Children’s Center, a large 24-hour
child care center.
In her spare time, she loves to travel. She also enjoys presenting various
workshops relating to Early Childhood Education.
