Jerrilynn Mazurk
Owner and Director
Cary County Preschool
|
“I found this program to be thought provoking and affirming,
that there is someone to give you encouragement to always be, and to always do
your best!”
|
Although Jerrilynn began with a career in dental hygiene, as she started to
watch her own children go to pre-school, she felt the urge to be an Early
Childhood Educator. Jerrilynn went back to school to take Early Childhood
classes and then found a teaching position at Cary County preschool, where she
remains today. After teaching for about five years, Jerrilynn and her husband
purchased the pre-school. Her first goal was to make it through the first year
and with the help of the McHenry County Directors Association, she did!
Jerrilynn is still active with this organization and is also on the Early
Childhood Advisory Committee at McHenry County College.
About two years ago Jerrilynn started getting information on the IDC program but
thought that she had enough to do already! One day a group from the MCDA
decided to work on their IDC, and they did just that. At this time, Jerrilynn
is a credentialed director who knows that Early Childhood will always be a part
of her life.
