Terryl was awarded the Level II Illinois Director Credential in June 2001. She
has been the Director of the Windy Tots Play School and Day Care Center for 11
years.
Terryl began her early childhood education career in 1975 and came to Windy Tots
in Zion, Illinois, after completing an Associates Degree in Early Childhood
Education from the College of Lake County. There, she worked part-time in the
preschool until her youngest of 3 children started kindergarten, then switched
to full-time day care. Terryl became the Windy Tots director in 1990.
Taking classes for child care center administrators and joining the Directors'
Network of Lake County helped Terryl in her new job, but she wanted to finish
her degree. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
from National-Louis University in 1999. The following year, she helped Windy
Tots to become accredited by the National Association for the Education of
Young Children.
