"Most importantly, I have always been a teacher of
young children and I strive daily to educate the world-at-large about the
importance of a child's first seven years."

“I enjoyed the class very much. Mrs. Saffold was an excellent
instructor. The information I’ve received will help me in this new adventure of
childcare. I can’t wait for the level 2 class. The Level 1 Credential was just another step in
my attaining my associate degree in childcare.”

I entered into the childcare field because I’ve always loved children. I love
the idea of introducing them to learning. I love to see them get excited about
what they master. When learning and teaching comes into play there are plenty
of questions, but from the questions and answers comes knowledge and that’s
what I enjoy. I took a 3 yr. leave of absence from my job where I care for
senior citizens and persons with disabilities to care for my cousin. She’s 5
yrs. Old now and is in kindergarten and her teacher says she is ahead of her
class. My goal is to continue in teaching and loving children as I have all of
my life. I hope to one day move from home care into center based daycare which
I would own. I am one of two children my mom was a stay at home mom so there
was plenty of love, care and growth, I’m 6’2’’ so I know love equals growth (ha
ha). My hobbies are cooking and baking.
