Gateways to Opportunity is a statewide professional development support system that offers many programs and services to you.  To access all that Gateways can offer, first you must become a Gateways Registry member.  Your Gateways Registry membership is good for one year, and can be renewed easily online.  There are two ways to become a Gateways Registry member:

  1. Apply online for a quick and easy membership option
  2. Download the Gateways Registry Membership Form, complete and mail

Are you renewing your Gateways Registry membership?

If you are already a Gateways Registry member and need to renew your membership, there are two ways to renew your membership:

Gateways Illinois Director Credential Direct Route – Use to apply for the Illinois Director Credential. 

Gateways ECE & Infant Toddler Credential Direct Route – Use to apply for ECE Credentials, Infant Toddler Credentials or the ECE Credential Level 1.

Gateways Illinois Director Credential, ECE and Infant Toddler Credentials Entitled Route  Use ONLY if you attended an entitled institution and completed their program.

Gateways Family Child Care Credential – Use to apply for the Family Child Care Credential for both Direct and Entitled Route

Gateways School-Age & Youth Development Credential – Use to apply for the SAYD Credentials for both Direct and Entitled Route

Gateways Family Specialist Credential Use to apply for the Family Specialist Credential for both Direct and Entitled Route

Gateways Registry Distance Learning Training Approval  Application form to have a distance learning training Registry-Approved.

Gateways Registry Trainer/Trainings  Use to become a Gateways Registry-approved trainer and submit a training.

Gateways Scholarship Program – Offers scholarship money to return to school.

Great START – Offers a wage supplement for already earned education and commitment.
