The Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge Grant Education Reimbursement Opportunity

This is a limited time offer.  

This chance to apply for funds to support continuing education and working towards a Gateways Credential or early childhood degree ended April 2017.  Any educator working in an Illinois early learning program was eligible to apply regardless of the setting, including Preschool for All, Early Head Start / Head Start, Child Care Centers and Family Child Care Homes.

Please be aware that because funds are limited, not all reimbursement requests will be granted.

Applications are no longer available for the Education Reimbursement Opportunity.  The deadline to apply was April 20, 2017. Incomplete applications were returned by mail to the applicant.  Applications that remain open through December 20, 2017 may be considered for a reimbursement should additional funds become available.  

Education Reimbursement Schedule

June 2017 – Reimbursement eligibility announced
June - July 2017 – Reimbursement checks released (anticipated)
No reimbursement payments will be made until June 2017
July 2017 - December 2017 - (as funds allow) Applications reviewed and prioritized.  
December 2017 - (as funds allow) Reimbursement eligibility announced and reimbursement checks released.
