Undergraduate: A college or university student who has not yet
earned a bachelor's degree.
University: An institution of higher education comprised of one
or more undergraduate colleges, a graduate program, and one or more
professional schools. Authorized to offer degrees at several levels including
bachelor's, master's, doctoral and the first professional.
Unlicensed: A child care program that has not been licensed by
the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. This is distinct from
programs that are legally exempt from licensure by DCFS under the Child Care
Act of 1969.
Upper Division: Adjective collectively describing college
juniors and seniors, or the curricula and courses designed for, or generally
taken by, juniors and seniors.
