Smart Start Quality Support Program

The Smart Start Quality Support Program is an Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) program targeting support for quality improvement at center-based child care facilities. The program assists participating centers cover staffing costs associated with higher quality and guide staff in their quality improvement work. Currently, a limited number of licensed child care centers serving 40% Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) children are participating. This program derives from the ExceleRate Illinois Child Care Center Pilot. 

This program is still in development. A public version of this program will become available- no estimated date of availability is confirmed at this time.
