Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) & Governor's Office of Early Childhood Development (GOECD) - Child Care Business Resources: COVID-19

In the COVID-19 press conference held on Sunday, April 5, 2020, the Governor emphasized the importance of supporting early childhood service providers through this crisis. Today, the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development hosted a webinar that gave an overview of the current federal and state supports available to providers, including for-profit and non-profit, child care and preschool, center- and home-based, licensed and license-exempt. This webinar was accompanied by a toolkit containing resources to help providers take advantage of the right supports for their specific situation.

In addition, a collaboration including INCCRRA, SEIU, Illinois Action for Children, Steans Family Foundation, Advance Illinois, Jones Tax Group, and Open Door Advisors is partnering to support child care providers interested in applying for the federal Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan, two forgivable Small Business Administration loans. If you would like support in applying for these forgivable loans, please review the materials below and then complete the survey here, which will tell you what materials you’ll need to apply and will connect you with someone from Jones Tax Group or Open Door Advisors who can assist you with your application. Once you’ve completed the survey, someone will contact you to provide assistance.
