Head Start Assistant Teacher

Assist with the planning and implementation of daily activities for assigned class.
Create opportunities for enhancing student skills.
Plan and implement activities that are consistent with student abilities, interests and educational plans.
Assist with school inclusion, inclusion in alternate school settings, the development of appropriate curriculum, workshop/life skills, speech and language, art, music, and adaptive physical education.
Provide staff in-services.
Maintain data and other records according to protocol.
Display enthusiasm and appropriate energy level to maintain students motivation, cooperation, and participation.
Encourage student independence in communication, decision making and other activities.
