Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated Teacher Assistant to support Lead Teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities and curriculum, supervising children to ensure safety and well-being, and supporting classroom routines such as meals, diapering/toileting, nap time, and transitions. The Teacher Assistant helps maintain a clean and organized classroom, builds warm relationships with children and families, follows all center policies, Illinois DCFS licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures, and assists with basic documentation as needed.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior childcare experience preferred, ability to meet DCFS requirements, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a genuine passion for working with children.
